This is a proven and effective therapeutic model, and the format and dynamics of a group can present unique opportunities for individual progress and growth. Working with others who share similar challenges and life issues can be immensely helpful in many ways, not least of which is knowing that you are not alone in your struggles and seeing how others cope with their problems. This adds perspective, helps ease anxiety and concerns at a personal level, increases comfort with the group, and enhances the group experience overall.
